Dr. Alexa Lamm is the sociologist on the project team focused on ensuring industry stakeholders’ perspectives are captured and used to guide research and extension efforts, leading to research that directly addresses industry need and increases the adoption of effective IPM strategies enhanced or developed by the project team.
Research Bio
Dr. Lamm conducts research on how educational initiatives and targeted science communication techniques can impact the way people make decisions about agricultural and environmental science. Through this work she strives to identify how we, as a global society, build consensus to inform policy that addresses agricultural issues, how cultural differences influence this process, and how targeted science communication efforts can assist in the creation of solutions to the world’s greatest problems.
