The overarching goal of our project's first objective is to measure phenological shifts of key pests and evaluate reliability of available monitoring tools and models.
We will achieve these goals by addressing the following sub-objectives:
Sub-Objectives
Obj. 2.1
Evaluate biocontrol (non-chemical) agents against vulnerable life stages of key orchard pests
Obj. 2.2
Evaluate efficacy and cost of management tools for Lepidopteran orchard pests including Codling Moth, Oriental Fruit Moth, and Borers
Obj. 2.3
Evaluate efficacy of San Jose Scale mating disruption technology for managing fruit injury in peach and apple systems
Obj. 2.4
Develop and evaluate methods for managing border-driven pests including Plum Curculio and Brown Marmorated Stink Bug
Obj. 2.5
Integrate grower perceptions and production costs into development of enhanced IPM practices
